WHAT TO BUILD

Entrants must create a working prototype or application using Ably’s realtime capabilities as outlined in the at least one of the following categories:

• Realtime Dashboards
  • Build a new realtime application that uses any of the Ably platform or APIs to demonstrate innovative realtime information displays and dashboards. For this challenge we want you to think of projects which make use of information efficiency while avoiding information overload!
  • Judging will explore the usefulness, data source, and the data visualization of the application.

• Collaboration Experiences
  • Build a new application or extend an existing one to show how people can create together by collaborating in realtime using Ably’s Collaboration capabilities (and ideally the new Spaces product). Adding the ability to collaborate within applications in real time can transform an experience of a virtual space.
  • Judging will explore the usefulness of the application, use of Ably collaboration features, and the overall functionality. 

• Bonus Category: React
  • Build your application using Ably's React SDK and other React ecosystem tools such as Next.js to be eligible for a challenge bonus prize!

WHAT TO SUBMIT

• Include a video (no more than 3 minutes) that demonstrates your submission. Videos must be uploaded to YouTube, Vimeo, or Facebook Video and made public.

• Provide a URL to a functional demo app OR URL to public code repository.

• Identify which Category your project is being submitted into.

• The completed submission form on Devpost before the deadline.
